SCMA Introductory Information Pack
The Introductory Information Pack has been developed by experienced childminders to help you complete the Care Commission application and registration process and related paperwork.

It contains four very useful booklets;
Safe & Secure is a good practice guide to child protection.
Attitudes & Values is a code of good practice.
Tax & National Insurance is a guide to Tax and National Insurance specifically for childminders.
Pay & Conditions is a negotiating guide for childminders.

It also contains seven briefing sheets regarding childminding issues and the services that SCMA provide.

When you purchase the Introductory Information Pack you will receive a £35.00 voucher off the price of full membership. Is There Any Financial Help Available?
In some areas of Scotland grants are available for new childminders to help set up their new business. Some Childcare Partnerships fund start-up costs to help to eliminate these financial barriers. Your local SCMA Childminding Development Officer should be able to advise you if there is funding available in your area.
